The story: her campaign has extracted enormous amounts of campaign cash from New York's poorer Chinatown neighborhoods. On its face, this appears to be cash laundering to avoid individual campaign cash limits, and likely also to obscure those behind it, which very possibly involves overseas sources attempting to influence US policy.The LA Times has done yeoman's work in exposing this. Consider this juxtaposition of comments and fact checking:
The Times examined the cases of more than 150 donors who provided checks to Clinton after fundraising events geared to the Chinese community. One-third of those donors could not be found using property, telephone or business records. Most have not registered to vote, according to public records.
